Kyong Ha Growney, Partner and Chair of the Employment and Labor Section of Curtin & Heefner LLP, was recently honored with the 2015 Bucks County Bar Association President’s Award for her dedication and service to the Bar Association.
Ms. Growney has been a member of the Bucks County Bar Association since moving into the county in 2005 and has served in many leadership roles. Most recently, she served on the Bar Association Board of Directors for four (4) years and chaired the Bar Association’s 2015 Bench Bar Conference. She has also served as Chair of Women Lawyer’s Division for two (2) years, as a member of the Bar Association’s Budget Committee, and the Bar Association’s Strategic Committee.
Ms. Growney concentrates her practice in all areas of employment and labor law, representing various organizations and businesses on a broad range of employment and labor issues, including discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour claims, leave issues under FMLA and ADA, labor relations, reductions in force, non-compete agreements, and other workplace disputes. She also advises employers on preventative measures such as implementation of handbooks and policies, performance evaluations, job descriptions, and legal audits. In addition to her practice, Ms. Growney is a frequent lecturer on employment law topics.
