On Thursday, February 28, 2013, Curtin & Heefner attorney Lauren M. Williams will be speaking on a panel at a symposium on Act 13, the oil and gas law passed in early 2012. The symposium, organized by the Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental & Public Health Law (“PJEPHL”), focuses on the chemical disclosure and physician restrictions (the physician “gag rule”) in Act 13. Ms. Williams will provide an insider’s account of the legal arguments advanced in two
cases filed so far challenging Act 13’s restrictions on medical professionals.

The symposium is entitled “Act 13 in 3D: Drilling, Doctors, and Disclosure – Reconciling Divergent Interests.” For more information, see: http://www.law.pitt.edu/events/2013/02/act-13-in-3d-drilling-doctors-and-disclosure
