Carolyn Maro Angelaccio, a partner in Curtin & Heefner LLP’s Morrisville office, has been selected as one of Bucks County’s “Forty Under 40”.  This award is presented to young professionals who shine in the community and is sponsored by Calkins Media (Bucks County Courier Times and The Intelligencer).  All of the recipients are selected through a public nomination process.  Ms. Angelaccio was presented with her award on November 4, 2013, at The Buck Hotel in Feasterville, Pennsylvania.

A lifelong resident of Bucks County, Ms. Angelaccio began her legal career as a summer associate at Curtin & Heefner LLP.  In January 2012, she was named a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group. While Ms. Angelaccio focuses her practice primarily on insurance defense, she also handles a significant amount of civil litigation.  Ms. Angelaccio takes every opportunity to successfully obtain benefits for disabled persons, including Social Security, Supplemental Security Income and private disability benefits. She has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star Lawyer and a Pennsylvania Lawyer on the Fast Track, awards which recognize individuals for outstanding promise and commitment to the legal profession, and who have made a significant contribution to the community at large.

Over the years, Ms. Angelaccio has been an active member of the Bucks County Bar Association.  She served as Chairperson of the Young Lawyers Division where she established the Mock Trial Planning Committee and Casino Night (benefitting the Woods Services Foundation), was a former Member of its Board of Directors, Chairperson of the Members Services Committee, a Merit Selection Committee Member, a Nominating Committee Member and the Executive Director of the Selection Committee.

Ms. Angelaccio has also served the community as a member of the Board of Trustees of Grey Nun Academy in Yardley, a member of Amici Della Lingua Italiana (an organization promoting Italian American culture) and as a participant in Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes.
