Kyong Ha Growney, Esq., partner and chair of the Employment and Labor Law Group at Curtin & Heefner LLP, will be a faculty member at the 19th Annual PBI Employment Law Institute at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Ms. Growney will present a session on “FMLA – Understanding the Basics” to an audience of attorneys and human resource professionals. Ms. Growney concentrates her practice in all areas of employment and labor law. She represents a variety of organizations and businesses on a broad range of employment and labor issues, including discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour claims, leave issues under FMLA and ADA, labor relations, reductions in force, non-compete agreements, and other workplace disputes. She also advises employers on preventative measures such as implementation of handbooks and policies, performance evaluations, job descriptions, and legal audits. In addition to her practice, Ms. Growney is a frequent lecturer on employment law topics.
