Bonnie Stein, a partner at the law firm of Curtin & Heefner LLP and Co-Chair of its Litigation Section, was presented with the Harriet M. Mims Award by the Women Lawyers Division at the December 2012 Annual Meeting of the Bucks County Bar Association. The Award is named after Harriet Mims, the first female judge in Bucks County and one of the first women members of the Bucks County Bar Association. The award is presented annually to a female attorney who exhibits the characteristics of strength, leadership and integrity who also has served as a mentor to young lawyers. Nominations are made by members of the Women Lawyers Division with a panel making the final selection of the recipient.

Ms. Stein concentrates her practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on various aspects of insurance, including bad faith claims, first party property and casualty claims, and disability and health insurance issues. She has a passion for pro bono legal services and is Curtin and Heefner’s Legal Aid pro bono coordinator. The Bucks County High School Mock Trial Championship in 2009 was coached by Ms. Stein. She has been named as one of Pennsylvania’s Top Fifty Female Lawyers. Bonnie Stein’s accomplishments are numerous on both a professional and charitable level, and Curtin & Heefner LLP joins in congratulating her as the 2012 recipient of the Harriet M. Mims Award.
